This week we were focusing on our Vignette. Finally, we finished our second vignette. I think I did not did a very good job. However, I need to focus more on the revision of every paper, because I know that the opinions from teacher is very useful and I need to learn as an example that I won’t make mistakes anymore.
Also we were breainstorming our topic for Vignette three which is about a life scene from two or more people in one occasion. Although I spent some time to brainstorming, I felt that I still didin’t do a great job on it. (why I always think I didn’t do a great job? HAHA!!) I also agree that it is a nice thing to write journal, it improved our writing skill and we could express any feeling inside the journal.

Finally, our newsletter had completed. All of us were so excited and soon the newsletter had spread all around the school. I was so happy to let everyone notice our effort. Although it did not have my name on the newsletter, I still very glad to see that we accomplish a great process for newsletter.
Also we had a test about all the parts of sentence and the vocabulary. Although it’s not that hard, I think I get some mistakes on the vocabulary part. I hope I can get a good grade on that. Vignette is also one of the topic this week. Now we are working on the reading picture and writing a vignette about two people and one place with five sence.

This week we were revising our oral history. The teacher pointed out some common mistakes that we would make during the first draft, such as, quotation marks, self-evaluation and that person’s expression. I think my oral history paper needed lots of time to revise it.
Next, we worked on the Vignette. After the example from last week, we had the basic idea about Vignette, but still, we didn’t catch the main point of Vifnette. Nobody do well on this assignment at first, so the teacher wanted us to rewrite again with clearer details and five sences.
Preposition, interjection and conjunction were also our topic this week. Finally, we finished every part of words, from noun to interjection. However, I think the test of reviewing this words might coming very soon. I need to study now!!!

This week we worked on the vignette which means a short story without conclusion. We read a example of it and the author describe with words that made the audience felt he was in that room. He used five sences to describe the details which could help audience understand more clear inside the room.
Finally, our first newsletter is comming out very soon. We already give our articles to the publisher which is the final step. Then, we can finish our newsletter. (applaud….) I hope it will be great and brilliant.

Oral History was our new topic for this week. At first, I was misunderstanding the idea of what teacher say. I wrote a wrong question and made a wrong direction for this topic. So I restated the interview question and rewrote all the questions. I think this time will get better.
After the Greek base word roots, we continued on the Latin roots. I think Latin roots are more difficult than Greek roots, because most of the examples are familiar for me in Greek roots, but Latin roots are more difficult to find an example.
Nouns and Verbs were also our important topic that we were working on. Those nouns confused me a lot. I couldn’t catch the point of recognize those “different” noun. I hoped I could do better in the near future.

This week, we learned several basic grammars, which included noun, pronoun and adjective. Also, noun had different uses, such as common, proper, concrete, abstract, compound and collective. Although I knew most of the students had learn before, this is very important for us in the writing skill.
Oral History was also am activities that we were working on this week. We had to interview a person who had special experience. I interviewed my mom, because she worked as a secretary for the chairman of UMC before. However, it was a challenge for me, because my mom wanted me to use english to interview her. I will try my best and make a perfect interview.

As usual, we had a base words test on Monday. I got one hundred percent on it which made a great starting of the writing class. Later on, we discuss about the capitalization and nouns which we had a test on Thursday. The test covered everything that we had taught in class, such as, showing V.S. telling, capitalization, process of writing and the detail of presentation. I hope I can get a good grades though.

Presentation was our first challenge this week. All other team did a great job on it and they all got full marks on their presentation. Although our team tried hard, it still had space to improved. We learnt many things about ancient time period which cuold improved our historical knowledge.
I did a great job on my “base words” test, which I spent lots of time to memorize it, so I think I deserved to had this grade. HAHA!!! However, our article for the newsletter already came out something which included, Field Trip, Swimming competition, Moon Festival and Leadership camp. It was still not enough for a newsletter. We still needed to work on that this week.

As usual, journal was always the first thing in the first expository class of the week. I think journal is quite important, not only for recording our daily life and our own history, but also for helping us to correct some writing mistake that we haven’t discover in the essays before.
The most important thing of this week was our “PAS Port”. I was a reporter and my first job was to write a article about the leadership camp which was going to happen on next month. I hope I can do a great job on it. I am also excited about our newsletter. It will be a wonderful job!!!
Finally, our final draft of reflective essay had finish this week. It was a great achievement in the class. I knew it would be a great percentage of our score, so I tried really hard on this essay and I hope it can be excellent.
